Stewart Commands the Field at West Liberty

With a Lot of Skill and a Little Luck, Stewart Locks in West Liberty Win

WEST LIBERTY, IA — June 23, 2017 — Bixby, OK-native Shane Stewart commanded the Larson Marks Racing No. 2 car for 25 laps through the checkers to win the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series debut at the 1/2-mile West Liberty Raceway. Behind him Kasey Kahne Racing driver Brad Sweet fought Jason Johnson for second to round out the podium.

Stewart started the day out strong, qualifying second, but a bit of luck also came into play later that night. At the start of the West Liberty Hawkeye 25 Feature, both Johnson and Sweet got past Stewart, but a caution before the lap was complete forced a reset, giving him a second chance.

WEST LIBERTY, IA — June 20, 2017 — During his first couple of years on the road with the World of Outlaws Craftsman® Sprint Car Series, just about every track was a new one for Jacob Allen. Now in year-four with the Outlaws, the number of new tracks he visits each season can usually be counted on one hand. He will encounter a new venue on the schedule this week as the series heads to West Liberty Raceway in Iowa for the first time.

The inaugural West Liberty Hawkeye 25 for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series at West Liberty Raceway is set for Friday June 23. Along with a full night of racing for the Outlaws, Modifieds will also be on the card.

WEST LIBERTY, IA — June 19, 2017 — The inaugural event for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series at West Liberty Raceway in Iowa will take the green flag on Friday, June 23. The half-mile located on the Muscatine County Fairgrounds has a rich history of hosting racing. West Liberty Raceway will be one of only two tracks hosting the series for the first time ever in 2017 and one of just two in the state of Iowa to have the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series visit this season. The edition of The Breakdown sets the stage for the West Liberty Hawkeye 25 for the Outlaws at West Liberty Raceway.

West Liberty Raceway will mark the eighth track in the state of Iowa that the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series has competed at dating back to the series inaugural season of 1978.
