World of Outlaws Late Model Series Releases Dates Of Major Multi-Day Events On 2014 Schedule

Eight February Races In Georgia & Florida, USA Nationals & Firecracker 100 Highlight National Tour’s Special-Show Slate

CONCORD, NC – Nov. 15, 2013 – A season-opening eight-race, three-track burst of action in Georgia and Florida will kick off the 2014 World of Outlaws Late Model Series special-event schedule, tour officials announced on Friday.

Officials have released the dates of 10 major multi-day programs that will be featured on the circuit’s 2014 slate, including the four longest and richest races of the season: the prestigious USA Nationals at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wis. (July 31-Aug. 2); the eighth annual Firecracker 100 at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pa. (June 26-28); the Illini 100 at Farmer City (Ill.) Raceway (April 4-5); and the Prairie Dirt Classic at Fairbury (Ill.) American Legion Speedway (July 25-26).

CONCORD, NC – Nov. 10, 2013 – Josh Richards’s triumphant return to the World of Outlaws Late Model Series reached its zenith on Sunday night.

The 25-year-old superstar from Shinnston, W.Va., was crowned the champion of the renowned national tour for a record third time – and accepted a $100,000 points-fund check – during Sunday’s annual WoO LMS ‘Night of Champions’ Awards Banquet at the Great Wolf Lodge.

Richards Caps Championship Season With Victory In World of Outlaws World Finals Finale

Celebrates Third World of Outlaws Late Model Series Title In Style At The Dirt Track At Charlotte

CONCORD, NC – Nov. 9, 2013 – Josh Richards capped his World of Outlaws Late Model Series championship season in style, scoring a powerful victory in Saturday night’s 50-lap World of Outlaws World Finals finale at The Dirt Track at Charlotte.

With the pressure of points racing removed after clinching his third career WoO LMS title the previous night, Richards calmly roared off the pole position to lead the A-Main from start-to-finish in his father Mark’s Valvoline-sponsored Rocket Chassis house car. He turned back challenges from John Blankenship of Williamson, W.Va., and Rick Eckert of York, Pa., to register his 10th triumph of 2013 and the 49th of his career on the national tour.

CONCORD, NC – Nov. 8, 2013 – Darrell Lanigan of Union, Ky., finally reached Victory Lane at The Dirt Track at Charlotte with a flawless performance in Friday night’s 50-lap World of Outlaws World Finals A-Main.

Hitting paydirt in his 21st career start at the four-tenths-mile oval, Lanigan burst off the pole position to grab the lead at the start of the event and never looked back. He kept Scott Bloomquist of Mooresburg, Tenn., at bay late in the distance to register his long-awaited first-ever triumph at The Dirt Track and his tour-leading 12th win of the 2013 World of Outlaws Late Model Series campaign.

CONCORD, NC – Nov. 7, 2013 – Billy Moyer of Batesville, Ark., made a spectacular debut at the World of Outlaws World Finals, sweeping fast-time honors in both rounds of Thursday’s Qualifying Night program at The Dirt Track at Charlotte.

The legendary driver was perfect in his first-ever World Finals appearance, topping an ultra-competitive field of 74 cars that were signed in for the World of Outlaws Late Model Series portion of the huge tripleheader weekend. The event also attracted 55 winged machines for the companion World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series meet and 49 entries for the Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modified action.
