EDMONTON, Alberta — August 25, 2015 — The Oil City Cup has showcased the best sprint car drivers in the world to racing for fans in Western Canada for the last eight years. The tradition will continue this year as the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series visits Castrol Raceway in Edmonton for the 2015 edition of the Oil City Cup on Friday, August 28 and Saturday, August 29. Donny Schatz, the six-time and defending series champion, swept both nights of the event last year and has won three of the last four races contested by the Outlaws at Castrol Raceway. Joey Saldana has won three times at the track in his career, making him the second-winningest driver, behind Schatz, who has four wins. Kerry Madsen, who is currently third in points is the only other current driver competing full-time with the series that has won at Castrol Raceway, with his victory coming in 2013.
