Top 10 in Grove Opener for Dollansky

Fans,
Fans,

More racing with the ‘PA Posse’ continued on Friday for the Big Game Treestands #7 team as they took on the tough local competition for the first of six scheduled events at Williams Grove Speedway where Craig Dollansky finished eighth in the most recent event at the ½-mile last October.

The night couldn’t have gotten off to a better start for ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ as he was a rocket in the Aggressive Hydraulics Maxim topping the chart in qualifying at 17.118 seconds among the 45 cars.  After recording his second fast-time of the year, Dollansky started outside row two for heat #1 and advanced to 2nd in the 8-lap event to transfer into the dash.  An inversion of six put the Eaton’s Aeroquip Performance Products #7 on the outside of row three for the dash where the Elk River, Minnesota native lost a couple of spots and finished 8th.

In the 25-lap A-Main the MobileStar backed sprinter kept the theme going of starting on the outside, this time in row four.  As the green flag dropped Dollansky claimed seventh and kept battling as the race endured a long stretch of green flag racing until the only caution came on lap 22 as the #7 ran eighth.  In the final 3 laps Dollansky lost one spot but still capped a strong night by recorded a top-ten finishing in 9th.

Another night of action at ‘The Grove’ awaits the Big Game Treestands #7 team on Saturday, including the running of the Morgan Cup Challenge.
