Top 10 at Kings Speedway for Dollansky

Fans,
Fans,
It had been since 2003 since the STP World of Outlaws last completed a full program at Kings Speedway.  Although the series competed two years ago at the facility the event was cut short by Mother Nature prior to the feature going green.  Back on the schedule this season, favorable California weather was on tap Friday for Craig Dollansky and the rest of the Outlaws as the Eyecon Trail Cameras #7 team prepared to do battle once again in Hanford.

After posting the third fastest time in hotlaps, ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ followed up the good start to the race program by stopping the clock 4th in qualifying among the 27 drivers signed into the 3/8-mile pit area.  Lining up inside row two for heat one, Dollansky finished 3rd to transfer into the dash by virtue of his time trial efforts.  Following a six pill inversion draw for the dash, the MobileStar Maxim again started inside row two and lost one spot in the 6-lap event finishing 4th.

With preliminary action in the books, DJ Lindsey and Sean Michael make final preparations to the #7 before the 35-lap A-Main.  Following three cautions and a red flag by just lap 6, the Aggressive Hydraulics backed sprinter held third.  The ensuing double-file restart saw Dollansky lose a couple of spots and then put on a good battle with Big Game Treestands teammate Sammy Swindell on lap 13 as Swindell ran the lowside and Dollansky worked the top shelf before another yellow on lap 15.  After another caution two circuits later, a tricky double-file restart dropped the Elk River, Minnesota native back a couple spots before running fifth when yet another caution prompted a fuel stop.

Wild feature action ensued after the fuel stop as Daryn Pittman, Dollansky, and Paul McMahan battled three-wide with the Eaton’s Aeroquip Performance Products #7 running seventh before the final caution of the night on lap 28.  Action raged all over the track in the final seven circuits with Dollansky taking the checkers in 7th to record his fifth top-ten of the 2013 season.

Tune in tonight for LIVE video coverage on DIRTvision.com as the Eyecon Trail Cameras #7 team travels to Perris Auto Speedway in Perris, California.
