Tickets for World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series on sale for I-96 Speedway event on June 4

LAKE ODESSA, Mich. — March 15, 2016 — Tickets are now on sale for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series “NAPA Auto Parts Rumble in Michigan” at I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, Mich., on Saturday, June 4. Tickets can be purchased online at slspromotions.ticketforce.com or by calling SLS Promotions at 815-344-2023.

The visit to I-96 Speedway will mark the 10th straight year that the series had competed at the now three-eighths-mile, just outside of Lansing, Mich. Dating back to 1995, the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series has raced 14 times at the track, with the majority of those on the former half-mile configuration.

Brad Sweet, the current series point leader, who drives for Kasey Kahne Racing, won at I-96 Speedway for the first time in his career last year. The 30-year-old battled seven-time and reigning series champion Donny Schatz for the win, using a strong restart late in the race and a slide job in turns one and two to take the lead and ultimately the victory, which snapped a five-race win streak that Schatz had been on.

Schatz won at I-96 Speedway for the first time in 2014. Joey Saldana and Paul McMahan each have won once with the series at the track. Saldana, who holds the track qualifying record at I-96 Speedway, scored his first career World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series main event win at the track in 1995. Six different drivers have visited victory lane in the last six events for the series at I-96 Speedway.

Battling the likes of the aforementioned Sweet, Schatz, Saldana and McMahan in 2016 is a talented group of full-time competitors, including Sweet’s teammate Daryn Pittman, the 2013 World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series champion, as well as Shane Stewart, who drives for Larson Marks Racing, co-owned by NASCAR driver Kyle Larson, veteran driver Jason Sides, along with up-and-coming young drivers David Gravel, Logan Schuchart and Jacob Allen, sophomore driver Jason Johnson and rookie contender Greg Wilson from Ohio.

Tickets for the “NAPA Auto Parts Rumble in Michigan” on Saturday, June 4 for the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series event at I-96 Speedway can purchased online at slspromotions.ticketforce.com or by phone by calling: 815-344-2023.
