The Players – Calistoga Speedway – Wine Country Outlaw Showdown

Fans,
Fans,

The West Coast Battle Moves to Wine Country this Weekend at Calistoga Speedway

CALISTOGA, CA — Sept. 11, 2017 —The World of Outlaws Craftsman® Sprint Car Series concludes its West Coast swing Friday and Saturday, Sept. 15-16 at the picturesque Calistoga Speedway with the running of the Wine County Outlaw Showdown.

Expect a healthy contingency of California locals to join the 16 full-time Series regulars. Last Friday night at the Silver Dollar Speedway, Sacramento’s Kyle Hirst broke a 5-race World of Outlaws winning streak in Northern California. Hirst will be among the California contingency looking to stifle the Outlaws again at the big half-mile. Other confirmed local entries include 2017 Knoxville Nationals A-Main Qualifier Cory Eliason, NARC points leader Bud Kaeding, and DJ Netto in Clyde Lamar’s 3C.

With no more races West of the Mississippi, the Season is slowly winding down. Donny Schatz maintains a 100-point lead over Brad Sweet in his quest for his ninth Series Championship. David Gravel sits third in the Series point standings, while Shane Stewart and Daryn Pittman are separated by a mere four points for fourth and fifth.

Calistoga has historically had a Spring date with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series, but this year the Wine Country Outlaw Showdown is in the Fall in hopes of securing better weather.

With extended camping available, the scenic Calistoga Speedway is the perfect destination for a weekend getaway. Tickets are still available online or via 844-DIRT-TIX.
