Inside Line Promotions – OHSWEKEN, Ontario, Canada (Aug. 3, 2015) – Jason Sides did a lot of driving only to face two rain outs last weekend in Canada.

Sides and the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series were rained out on Friday at Brockville Ontario Speedway in Brockville, Ontario, and Saturday at Autodrome Drummond in Drummondville, Quebec, to cap a long week north of the United States.

“We only got one of the three races in and that wasn’t a great result for us,” he said.

Sides kicked off last week on Tuesday at Ohsweken Speedway, where he qualified 14th quickest to narrowly miss the heat race inversion.

“It started getting slick in qualifying and we ended up just out of the invert,” he said. “We weren’t bad in the heat race. We got to second and I tried hard to get to the lead and that allowed Paul McMahan to get by us.”

Sides ended with a third-place result in a heat race, which lined him up on the outside of the seventh row for the main event.

“I got a few spots on the start and then it got really slick,” he said. “The bottom went away and it got so slick. I was trying the middle, the top, everything. A couple of cars were railing around the top. I got up there and it wasn’t for me. I wasn’t near tight enough and I spun around with three or four laps to go.”

Sides restarted at the back and rallied to finish 16th.

He is slated to return to action this Friday and Saturday at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Mo., for the Ironman 55, which is a marquee World of Outlaws event.

“Every time we go there I’ve always enjoyed the track,” he said. “Ray Marler and those guys do a great job with the track. You can run top and bottom. It’s a really racy track.”

Sides was victorious at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in 2012.
