Inside Line Promotions – MINOT, N.D. – This Sunday will mark the final trip to Nodak Speedway for Steve Kinser as a full-time member of the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series.
The Gerdau Magic City Showdown Presented by Schatz Crossroad Truck Stop and Minot Tourism will host the Salute to the King Tour, which will give Kinser one final chance at winning a World of Outlaws race at the 3/8-mile track.
“It’s been a nice race track and I’ve enjoyed racing there,” he said.
Kinser’s teammate, Donny Schatz, is the man to beat at Nodak Speedway. Schatz, who was born and raised in the same town as the track, has garnered the feature win each of the past two seasons.
Prior to his back-to-back wins, no driver had won multiple World of Outlaws races at Nodak Speedway. The first seven events had a different winner starting with Terry McCarl claiming the inaugural race in 2006.
Daryn Pittman was victorious in 2007 with Jason Meyers winning in 2008, Danny Lasoski in 2009 and Joey Saldana and Craig Dollansky splitting victories in 2010.

A pit/combo ticket is also available, which includes a reserved seat, a pit pass and a “Class of 2014” poster of the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series drivers. Adult pit/combo tickets are $38 and pit/combo tickets for children aged 0 to 12 are $25.
