Tickets for World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series on sale for Lincoln Park Speedway on June 8

PUTNAMVILLE, Ind. — February 18, 2016 — Tickets are now on sale for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series return to Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville, Indiana on Wednesday, June 8 and can be purchased online at slspromotions.ticketforce.com or by calling SLS Promotions at 815-344-2023. Pit side reserved seating will be available in the upper rows of Sections E, F and G on the back straightaway, if purchased as a pit combo.

The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series last raced at Lincoln Park Speedway in 1988, with former series champion Dave Blaney winning that race. The series competed at Lincoln Park Speedway for the first time in 1979, which was the second year of the series, with 20-time series champion and Indiana native Steve Kinser, picking up the win in that race.

The last 410-winged sprint car race at Lincoln Park Speedway was in 2006, when the National Sprint Tour (NST) paid a visit to the bullring. Tim Kaeding won that event over Travis Rilat and Brandon Wimmer. A pair of current World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series drivers raced in that event. Paul McMahan finished fourth, with Shane Stewart rounding out the top-10.

The 2016 season recently kicked off for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series with the DIRTcar Nationals in Florida. Sweet was victorious on opening night for his Kasey Kahne Racing team and followed that up with another win in the finale of the three-night event. Donny Schatz, the seven-time and defending series champion, who drives for Tony Stewart Racing, won on the second night. On the strength of his two wins, along with a runner-up finish, Sweet is the current series point leader.

Battling Sweet and Schatz in 2016 is a talented group of full-time competitors, including: Shane Stewart, who drives for Larson Marks Racing, co-owned by NASCAR driver Kyle Larson, Sweet’s teammate, Daryn Pittman the, 2013 series champion, veterans Joey Saldana and Paul McMahan, up-and-coming young drivers David Gravel, Logan Schuchart and Jacob Allen, sophomore driver Jason Johnson and rookie contender Greg Wilson from Ohio.
