The BeFour the Crowns Showdown at Eldora Speedway, originally scheduled for Sept. 25, with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series has been canceled for 2020.

Eldora Speedway officials announced Tuesday that the 39th 4-Crown Nationals, which included the BeFour the Crowns Showdown, has been rescheduled to late September 2021 due to the ongoing COVID-19 health crisis.

On August 19, as part of Governor Mike DeWine and the State of Ohio’s continued efforts to fight the spread of the coronavirus, the Ohio Department of Health issued the “Director’s Order that Provides Mandatory Requirements for Youth, Collegiate, Amateur, Club and Professional Sports.” The robust order, the first of which to address grandstand events and speedways in Ohio, restricts spectator attendance at outdoor venues to a maximum of 1,500 people or 15% of their seated capacity, (whichever is the lesser), and masks or face coverings for all attendees.

After thoroughly assessing the statewide order, which can be rescinded at any time by ODH, Eldora and series officials elected to reschedule the event to 2021.

Fans who purchased reserved seats, general admission tickets and campsites for the 39th 4-Crown should retain their tickets, camping credentials and receipts at this time.

Information, including frequently asked questions and answers, has been posted at https://www.eldoraspeedway.com/????-covid/. Officials will communicate updated event information direct to patron accounts as it becomes available, on www.EldoraSpeedway.com and via Eldora’s official social channels.
