Larson Marks Westward Bound for Outlaws West Coast Swing

Fans,
Fans,

ON THE CIRCUIT: Larson Marks Racing with driver Shane Stewart continues their first full season with the World of Outlaws sprint car series with races at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and USA Raceway in Tucson, Ariz. this week. Larson Marks Racing did not begin their rookie season until late March in 2014, so this will mark the team’s first races at both tracks.

LMR IN FLORIDA: Last month, Larson Marks Racing opened its season competing with the All-Star Circuit of Champions at Volusia Raceway Park in Barberville, Fla., where a broken wheel hub ended the team’s night in the B-Main. The following three nights, Stewart drove the LMR No. 2 to eighth, sixth and 12th-place finishes respectively.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE: Stewart has previously competed at both The Dirt Track at LVMS and USA Raceway. Stewart’s last appearance in Vegas was seven years ago in 2008, when he scored a top-10 finish with the World of Outlaws. Stewart has previously competed in both ASCS and midget competition at USA Raceway.

ALREADY WINNERS: Although the World of Outlaws season didn’t begin until mid-February, Larson Marks Racing had already scored its first win of the 2015 season. While Stewart was welcoming his newborn daughter, Nixon, team co-owner Kyle Larson took over driving duties for the inaugural Winter Heat Showdown at Cocopah Speedway in early January. In his second night of competition, Larson started third and earned the Larson Marks Racing team the win.

LARSON MARKS RACING OWNERS: Larson Marks Racing is co-owned by NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Rookie of the Year Larson and entrepreneur Justin Marks. Marks also owns GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville, N.C. and is co-owner of HScott Motorsports with Justin Marks, a five-car NASCAR K&N Pro Series East team. Larson will be competing for his first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series win this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, on the same property as the The Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

CREW CHIEF: Veteran crew chief Steve Suchy continues to oversee the No. 2 Larson Marks Racing team. Suchy, 39, has previously worked with notable drivers Larson, Cody Darrah, Stevie Smith and Greg Hodnett. A Pennsylvania native, Suchy relocated to North Carolina last winter to lead the formation of the new Larson Marks Racing team.

NEXT RACE: Larson Marks Racing will continue their season next weekend, March 13 and 14, at Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, Calif.
