Larson Marks Races into North Dakota off a Win

Larson Marks Racing Brings Momentum into North Dakota

TRAVELING NORTH: Coming off of a solid third place finish at Eagle (Neb.) Raceway on Tuesday, Larson Marks Racing travels to North Dakota for two nights of racing. On Friday, the team will compete at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks and follow that up with Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo on Saturday.

NORTHERN TOUR: Shane Stewart and the Larson Marks team will be competing at River Cities Speedway this Friday. Stewart has a trio of top-10 finishes at the high-banked, 3/10-mile circuit, with his best finish being a third-place score that came in 2015.

DUEL IN THE DAKOTAS: The following night the team will travel to Red River Valley Speedway, a new track to Larson Marks Racing. Despite being new to the team, Stewart has experience at the 3/8-mile high-banked track with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series. His best result at the track was a sixth-place finish.

EAGLE RECAP: Tuesday night at Eagle Raceway, Stewart had the fourth-quickest lap time and won his heat race to transfer into the Craftsman Club Dash. He started fifth in the dash and gained one position to earn the fourth starting spot in the 30-lap main event. The pilot of the LMR No. 2 raced as high as second, but a late race charge from co-owner, Kyle Larson, made the battle for the top spots extremely exciting. The top four exchanged positions several times in the closing laps and when the checkered flag flew, Larson captured the win, followed by Daryn Pittman and Stewart. (View video highlights here:

STEWART ON EAGLE: “It’s good to be back at Eagle,” said Stewart. “I love this race track and glad we’re back here racing. It’s so much fun to race with Kyle because he gets you up on the wheel and makes you earn it. That was an awesome race, it was fun to be in. I’ve got to thank Kyle and Justin [Marks] for giving me this opportunity and of course my guys for giving me a great car.”
