Drivers discuss the doubleheader at the ‘Big E’ this Friday and Saturday
ROSSBURG, Ohio — May 1, 2012 — The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series stars will get one of their biggest tests this weekend as the series heads to Eldora Speedway.
It’s the first of two doubleheaders this season at the high-banked, half-mile oval, which is closing in on 150 career World of Outlaws events.

Cody Darrah (Red Lion, Pa.) – “Ever since the first time I’ve been to Eldora when I was little watching my uncle run a late model around there, it’s a place I wanted to go to and would love to race every week. That’s definitely a big weekend that I’m excited for.”
Craig Dollansky (Elk River, Minn.) – “I always enjoy going to Eldora. It’s a momentum-type race track. You’ve got to focus on getting your car balanced and keeping up with the changes in the track. It’s one of the fastest – if not the fastest – track we get to.”
Chad Kemenah (Findlay, Ohio) – “Eldora, that’s home for me. We’re always excited to go back to Eldora. We’ve been pretty fortunate there. We’ve ran well. Eldora is not easy. It’s kinda like you walk enough, you start to run and that’s about what Eldora is.”
Kraig Kinser (Bloomington, Ind.) – “Eldora is a challenge in itself. It’s definitely one track that I would love to pick up a win at.”
Steve Kinser (Bloomington, Ind.) – “Eldora is a track I’ve always enjoyed racing on. It’s just a fast race track. It doesn’t have to be real heavy to run good. It’s probably one of my favorite race tracks there is.”
Kerry Madsen (St. Marys, New South Wales, Australia) – “I’ve been pretty fast there the last couple of years. I think we’ve got a great package for Eldora. I really like the joint. I think it suits my style. It’s fast. I like it when it’s up near the wall.”
Bill Rose (Plainfield, Ind.) – “That’s one of my favorite race tracks. Since Tony (Stewart) bought it, he’s definitely fixed the facility up. The history of the place is just unbelievable.”
Joey Saldana (Brownsburg, Ind.) – “It’s feast or famine for me. I love racing there. It’s an awesome facility. I got to go watch my dad race there a lot and was always amazed at the speed. I definitely appreciate the place and I love racing there, but it’s definitely made me appreciate what I do and if I really want to do it. So it’s definitely a place that can make you humble real quick. I hope we can come out of there with two good results and I can go on to the next weekend.”
Donny Schatz (Minot, N.D.) – “Eldora is a very tricky place. You can be really good and really bad, and not be that far apart. Obviously it being Tony’s track we want to get ourselves in a good position to pick up a win.”
Sammy Swindell (Germantown, Tenn.) – “It’s one of my favorite places. It’s a place where the driver can make a big difference. You’re running that fast and that close to the wall, it’s something a lot of guys can’t seem to manage. I’ve liked it from the first time I was there back in ’78 I think.”
Lucas Wolfe (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) – “Eldora is always tough. You’ve got a lot of good cars from Ohio and the All Stars, so it’s always a difficult challenge there. It’s a lot of fun to race at Eldora. It’s certainly a unique place.”
