Dollansky Tackles Nationals

Fans,
Fans,
The most lucrative and famous week of the year in sprint car racing is upon us.  The week that every sprint car driver dreams of winning and hoisting the massive trophy in victory lane on Saturday night.  The week is known as the Knoxville Nationals and Craig Dollansky and the Big Game Treestands #7 team are gearing up for the 51st edition of the ‘Midwest Mecca of Mud’ following their series-leading seventh victory of the World of Outlaws season at the 55-lap ‘Ironman 55’ event in Missouri this past weekend.

This year will mark Dollansky’s nineteenth appearance at the prestigious event where he has qualified for the main event all but three times in his career, a string of events that is tied for 9th all-time with the likes of Doug Wolfgang and Dave Blaney.  Of the fifteen features, ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ has finished in the top-ten eleven times, tied for 7th all-time, and hasn’t finished outside of the top-ten since 2001 except for 2003 when he didn’t compete due to an injury.  Most recently, Dollansky charged from 24th to 4th in last year’s event to record his sixth top-five and nearly his fourth podium finish.

The Big Game Treestans #7 team will hit the track tonight for their qualifying night at the Knoxville Raceway.  Be sure to stay up to date on Facebook and Twitter throughout the week for trivia questions about Dollansky related to the Knoxville Nationals and other things that are taking place.  If you’re at the Marion County Fairgrounds stop by the Craig Dollansky souvenir trailer on Friday from 4-5 PM as ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ will be signing autographs.  If you can’t make it to Knoxville you can hear all the action live on Dirtvision.com for free or purchase the live-stream video of the first three nights from Turn2Media at knoxville.turn2media.com.  Video from Saturday will be captured by the SPEED Channel and aired at a later date.
