Chase Majdic suspended for violating substance abuse policy

Fans,
Fans,

World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series officials have suspended driver Chase Majdic for violating the World Racing Group’s substance abuse policy per the 2019 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series rule book.

The results of a random drug test at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, Calif. on Sept. 6 showed Majdic tested positive for and over the cutoff value of a prohibited substance to wit: marijuana metabolite.

This is Majdic’s first offense. He will be withheld from competition for 90 days from the date of the test and fined $1,000. This suspension term may be reduced to 60 days with the completion of an alcohol or drug-education program. Reinstatement will be conditional on two negative tests over the final 14-day period of the suspension and payment of the fine. A positive result on a re-test would count as a second offense.
