BUCKEYE CHARGE: McMahan Marches Forward at Fremont Speedway

Fans,
Fans,

TELFORD, PA. – October 22, 2014 – For one final time in 2014, the ‘Greatest Show on Dirt’ took on one of Ohio’s finest speedplants.

“Fremont is a very racy track,” said Paul McMahan, driver of the Bairs Tree Service/Nyce Crete & Landis Block & Concrete/All Star Performance sponsored machine. “You can move around a lot on the racing surface and make up ground if your car is working well. I’d also say that Ohio ranks right up there when it comes to the local competition. There are several great cars in that area.”

The track known as the “Action Track” lived up to it’s billing as the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series returned to the one-third mile oval for the second straight year. McMahan and his CJB Motorsports team were back in action once again as they looked to continue gaining knowledge for the remainder of 2014 and beyond.

“We timed in mid-pack which put us on the outside pole of a heat race,” said McMahan. “There was some contact and we sustained a little damage. I had to battle Donny (Schatz) for the final transfer spot. We made the feature but didn’t fare too much better.

From the close quarters of Fremont, the Outlaws now head to the expansive racing surface of Port Royal (PA) Speedway. The fast half-mile will be hosting the tour for the first time since 2004.

“Anytime we go to a track in Pennsylvania, I feel like we have a shot,” said McMahan. “That is the area our team is based out of and the crew has a ton of experience there. Port Royal is a big, fast half-mile. The speeds willl be pretty high but the racing is usually pretty good there as well. It’ll be cool to go back the with the Outlaws and hopefully we can grab the win.”
