PRYOR, Okla. (April 28, 2015) – A big weekend of racing is on tap for the Motter Equipment HE&M Saw Beltline Body Shop team beginning Thursday, April 30, when the team visits HEMsaw’s headquarters in Pryor, Oklahoma.
Driver Joey Saldana, team owner Dan Motter, team members Randy Wolfe, Sean Strausbaugh, Derek Miller and Skye Michael will visit with HEMsaw employees and answer questions about their World of Outlaws racing experience. The 71M sprint car will also be on display.
The team visited HEMsaw’s corporate headquarters last year the day before they headed to nearby Salina Highbanks Speedway, set quick time and won the event. It was a memorable winner’s circle celebration that included HEMsaw personnel.
Motter, Saldana and the team hope to be able to repeat that performance Friday, May 1.
At the conclusion of the Salina event, the team will load up and make the six-hour drive to Pevely, Mo. and Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55. Last year’s efforts by Saldana and the Motter team at the Ken Schrader co-owned 1/3-mile yielded another quick time and a second place finish. The Brownsburg Bullet led 12 laps of the feature. A great two consecutive days of World of Outlaws racing!
From Pevely, it’s another late night three-hour drive back to Saldana’s home state of Indiana and Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt. The 2014 Motter team performance produced a fifth place finish.
“Last year we had solid nights of racing at these tracks,” said Saldana. “We are really looking forward to going to visit with the HEMsaw employees. Our performance at the Salina track was a Las Vegas-style high stakes night. We were quick time in qualifying, led every lap of the A Main and then shot to the top of the point standings. Victory circle was crazy fun with all the HEMsaw employees. We have a lot to live up to this year but we’re up to the challenge!”
