Inclement Weather Forces Cancellation of Sunday’s World of Outlaws Late Model Series Race At Cornwall Motor Speedway

WoO LMS Competitors Travel to Weedsport Speedway on Tuesday before Heading to Lernerville Speedway for Ninth Annual Firecracker 100 Weekend

CORNWALL, Ont. – June 21, 2015 – Sunday’s World of Outlaws Late Model Series event at Cornwall Motor Speedway has been cancelled due to inclement weather at the Ontario, Canada, track.

WoO LMS competitors head next to Weedsport (N.Y.) Speedway for Tuesday’s Finger Lakes 40. The $8,000-to-win event serves as the finale for the scheduled four-race Great Northern Tour. Points leader Shane Clanton of Zebulon, Ga., claimed the Great Northern Tour opener at Fonda (N.Y.) Speedway on Thursday, while Josh Richards won the northern trek’s second round at Brighton (Ont.) Speedway on Saturday.

Pit gates at Weedsport open at 4 p.m. on Tuesday with general admission gates opening at 5 and racing starting at 7. Visit www.weedsportspeedway.com for more information.

The Weedsport event serves as the final tune-up ahead of the ninth annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pa., June 25-27. The crown jewel event features three nights of WoO LMS action culminating in the 100-lap, $30,000-to-win Firecracker 100 finale on Sat., June 27.
