Outlaw Invasion, Attempt No. 2 at Atomic

Atomic Promo 8 31 18

The Outlaws return to Atomic Speedway for another attempt at a race

CONCORD, NC – August 31, 2018 – After a complete rainout back in the middle of May, the Outlaw Invasion at Atomic Speedway is almost ready for another attempt in 2018.

Persistent rain throughout the Waverly, Ohio, area forced the track and Series officials to cancel the racing activities for the entire weekend. September 28 and 29 are the make-up dates, which are now fast approaching.

This event will cap off a very slow month of September, as the Series only makes two other stops (Outlaw, Selinsgrove) before heading into an even slower month of October. The Chi-Town Showdown at The Dirt Oval at Route 66 in Joliet, Illinois, is the only event scheduled in October before the World Finals at the Dirt Track at Charlotte in November.

The last Series visit to Atomic Speedway was back in early 2017, where eventual Rookie of the Year winner Devin Moran picked up his very first World of Outlaws Craftsman® Late Model Series victory.

“It was definitely pretty cool just for the simple fact that it was in my home state and I like that place a lot,” Moran said of the 2017 win back in May. “It was my first one ever. Having an Outlaw win is definitely awesome.”

Before Moran, Josh Richards parked it in 2015.
