Tire Rules Set For Upcoming World of Outlaws Late Model Series Events at Shawano, Cedar Lake & Independence

By Kevin Kovac, WoO LMS P.R. Director

CONCORD, NC – July 25, 2012 – Tire rules for upcoming World of Outlaws Late Model Series events at Shawano (Wis.) Speedway, Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wis., and Independence (Iowa) Speedway have been set, tour officials announced.

The 50-lap, $10,000-to-win shows on Wed., Aug. 1, at Shawano and Mon., Aug. 6, at Independence will utilize the same Hoosier-only tire mandate. Teams will be permitted to use Hoosier LM20, LM30 and LM40 compounds as well as Hoosier 55s and 1600s.

For the prestigious 25th annual USA Nationals presented by U.S. Steel on Aug. 2-4 at Cedar Lake – a $50,000-to-win extravaganza sanctioned for the third straight year by the WoO LMS – entrants will have three choices from the Hoosier Tire line: LM40s, 55s or 1600s.

WoO LMS officials said that Hoosier ‘white-dot’ tires will not be allowed in competition at Shawano, Cedar Lake or Independence.
