By the Numbers: FVP Platinum Battery Shootout for the World of Outlaws at Lakeside Speedway

KANSAS CITY, KS — October 17, 2017 — The World of Outlaws Craftsman® Sprints Car Series returns to Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas for the eighth consecutive year on Friday for the FVP Platinum Battery Shootout. A different driver has visited victory lane in each of the last six Outlaws races at the historic oval. When the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series rolls into Lakeside Speedway, just six nights of racing will remain on the season, putting even more emphasis on each position in the point standings.

Textron Off Road World Finals closes out racing season on November 2-4, 2017

CONCORD, NC — Oct. 17, 2017 — The 2017 racing season is made up of 252 days between February and November. During this time, every mile traveled, every lap around a racetrack, every dirt road leads to The Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the Textron Off Road World Finals on November 2-4.

The World of Outlaws Craftsman® Sprint Car Series, the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series and the Super DIRTcar Series will once again meet on one of racing’s biggest stages to close out the racing season and crown their series champions.

Tim Shaffer Goes Flag-to-Flag at Ransomville

RANSOMVILLE, New York – October 16, 2017 – The ‘Steel City Outlaw’ Tim Shaffer led flag-to-flag in the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series first visit to the Ransomville Speedway in 20 years. Shaffer fell off the narrow frontstretch in lapped traffic with two to go, but was able to corral his No. 49X and pilot it to his second World of Outlaws Feature win of the year. Brad Sweet and Shane Stewart completed the podium at ‘The Big R Outlaw Shootout’ presented by Budweiser.
