World of Outlaws Late Model Series Reveals 2016 Major Events

 

Tour kicks off Feb. 12 in Georgia; Illini 100 tickets to renew Tuesday, Sept. 8

 

CONCORD, N.C. – Sept. 5, 2015 – The 2015 World of Outlaws Late Model Series championship battle is headed toward a showdown at the Bad Boy Buggies World Finals in November at The Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway, but series officials are already looking ahead to 2016.

Nine major destination events are on the slate for 2016 so far, giving nearly each month during the season a huge event for fans to plan around. The tour will kick off the season on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 12-13, at Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, Ga., invade Bubba Raceway Park on Sunday, Feb. 14, in Ocala, Fla., and close out the month Feb. 18-19-20 during the DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Fla.

Points Leader Tunes Up For Rescheduled Firecracker With 30th Career Win

SARVER, Pa. (Sept. 4) — Shane Clanton of Zebulon, Ga., returned to his winning ways on Friday night, scoring a convincing victory in the World of Outlaws Late Model Series Working Man 50 at Lernerville Speedway.

Taking advantage of his position starting spot, Clanton jumped into the lead at the initial green flag and never looked back in his Ron Davies-owned Capital Race Car. He brushed off a mid-race threat from the Josh Richards of Shinnston, W.Va., en route to beating the red-hot Rocket Chassis house car driver by 0.932 of a second.

9/5/2015 – Skagit Speedway

ALGER, Wash. – Sept. 5, 2015 – Shane Stewart battled Jason Johnson and held firm through a yellow and red flag plagued first half to win night two of the Monster Meltdown at Skagit Speedway. Stewart claimed his eighth World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series victory of the season as Donny Schatz charged forward late in the feature looking to claim his 200th career win. Schatz finished second with Johnson in third.
