Snaps Rare Win Drought On National Tour With Second Career Triumph At Track In Home State

MINERAL WELLS, WV – Aug. 30, 2013 – Josh Richards ended a rare World of Outlaws Late Model Series victory drought on Friday night, rolling to a convincing triumph in the 50-lap RaceFest A-Main at West Virginia Motor Speedway.

In winning for the second time this season at a track in his home state – after falling short of victory at West Virginia facilities for the first nine years of his racing career – the 25-year-old star from Shinnston, W.Va., snapped a nine-race winless stretch on the national tour. He also padded his WoO LMS points lead – an edge he actually continued to build with consistent finishes during his modest checkered-flag slump.

ALGER, Wash. – Aug. 30, 2013 – Sammy Swindell kicked off the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series Gold Rush Tour of nine races in 10 nights by winning Friday at Skagit Speedway for his third victory of the season and his first win at Skagit since 1979. Kerry Madsen was second with Paul McMahan, Joey Saldana and series points leader Daryn Pittman rounding out the top five.

Pittman and Schatz carry championship battle to the West Coast

ELMA, Wa. — Sept. 2, 2013 — The World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series took a day off before a streak of seven races in seven days as they thunder down the West coast. Daryn Pittman had a big night on Friday to stretch the point lead after capturing quick time in qualifying and a fifth place finish to Schatz’s 11th.

Saturday, however, was the other way around. Schatz took the quick time and the five bonus points while Pittman collected a single point for qualifying fifth. Bad luck in the dash would start Pittman in 10th in the feature event. Schatz won and the point battle is down to 23 points.
