WATERTOWN, Conn.—July 14, 2013— David Gravel had two main goals in mind when opening the “Month of Money” this past week, with the running of the 25th Ohio Logistics Brad Doty Classic Presented by Racing Optics and the 30th Kings Royal for the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series. First, he wanted to qualify for the A-Feature at each event and second, he was looking to earn a top-10 finish in each of the marquee events. The 21-year-old was able to accomplish both as he came home fifth in the Brad Doty Classic and was ninth in the Kings Royal, earning the KSE Hard Charger Award in the process for passing the most cars during the A-Feature.

7/16/2013 – Lernerville Speedway (Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup Twins)

SARVER, Pa. – July 16, 2013 – Donny Schatz passed Jac Haudenschild with 10 go on Tuesday night at Lernerville Speedway to capture the first of two A-mains in the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup with Daryn Pittman earning the victory in the second A-main after moving in front with 1 to go and holding off hard-charging Kyle Larson, who started dead last. Schatz was the overall champion of the event based on his victory and a seventh-place finish in the second A-main as compared to Pittman’s win and 14th-place run in the first A-main.

Points go out the window for the next few weeks, it’s all about the Month of Money

SARVER, Pa. — July16, 2013 — The World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series invades the Northeast as the mystical Month of Money gains steam. The first stop on the trip is today’s Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup Twin 30s at Lernerville Speedway. The series then takes on the Pennsylvania Posse Friday and Saturday at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg Pa., including the race for the Morgan Cup on Saturday night.

The Outlaws return to New York on Sunday at Lebanon Valley Speedway then on Tuesday, July 23, Rolling Wheels Raceway Park.

Brad Sweet captured the first big payday of the Month of Money, winning the $50,000 Kings Royal Saturday night at Eldora Speedway.

CONCORD, NC – July 15, 2013 – The battle for the 2013 World of Outlaws Late Model Series Rookie of the Year Award between Eric Wells and Morgan Bagley is about to crank up a notch.

With the next swing of action – a stretch highlighted by the $20,000-to-win Prairie Dirt Classic on July 26-27 at Fairbury (Ill.) American Legion Speedway and the $50,000-to-win USA Nationals on Aug. 1-3 at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wis. – the national tour will pass the 30-race mark for the season. That means Wells and Bagley will begin replacing their worst finishes, intensifying a rookie chase that is shaping up as the most intriguing in series history.
