World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series Rained Out at Calistoga

Today’s race at Antioch Speedway is still going as scheduled

CALISTOGA, Calif. — April 5, 2013 — The World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series event at Calistoga Speedway on Saturday has been cancelled because of heavy storms and persistent drizzle that has tormented the area this week.

For those who purchased tickets, mail them to the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series office for a refund. For Will Call tickets, call the office for a refund or an exchange. The value of the ticket can be used as an exchange for the race at Kings Speedway in Hanford on Friday, April 12, or at Perris Auto Speedway in Perris on Saturday, April 13.

Today’s race at Antioch Speedway is going ahead as scheduled.

FARMER CITY, IL – April 5, 2013 – Kennedy Motorsports teammates Shane Clanton of Fayetteville, Ga., and Tim Fuller of Watertown, N.Y., shined brightly on Friday night at Farmer City Raceway, claiming heat-race victories during the qualifying program that kicked off the Illini 100 weekend.

Clanton established himself as the early class of the event’s 40-car field, turning the overall fastest lap in split Ohlins Shocks Time Trials (12.786 seconds) and dominating the first of four 15-lap heat races. He will join Fuller and the evening’s other heat winners and runners-up in a redraw for the top eight starting spots in Saturday night’s $20,000-to-win Illini 100.

FARMER CITY, IL – April 4, 2013 – The chase for the $20,000 Illini 100 champion’s prize began on Thursday night at Farmer City Raceway.

A total of 29 dirt Late Model drivers participated in an open practice session to kick off the blockbuster World of Outlaws Late Model Series weekend, which features Ohlins Shocks Time Trials and heat races on Friday night (April 5) and Last Chance Showdowns and the 100-lap A-Main on Saturday evening (April 6).

ANTIOCH, Calif. — April 5, 2013 — Shane Golobic outlasted his childhood hero, Joey Saldana, to capture his first career World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series victory at Antioch Speedway.
