Lasoski Claims World of Outlaws Sprint Car Season Opener

Former champ dominates for UNOH DIRTcar Nationals Presented by Summit win

For the first time in hours he was able to relax his shoulders and catch his breath after a whirlwind evening at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Fla., for the World of Outlaws season opener. Lasoski’s win was also his second of the week at the 41st annual UNOH DIRTcar Nationals Presented by Summit Racing Equipment.

“We had our work cut out for us,” he said. “We only got to run one lap in qualifying. We broke a U-joint hot lapping and didn’t have time to change it. So I ran as quick a lap as I could with it shaking around.”

Richards Ends Lanigan’s Domination Of Bubba Raceway Park In Friday-Night 50-Lapper

West Virginian Becomes Alltime Winningest Driver On World of Outlaws Late Model Series

OCALA, FL – Feb. 17, 2012 – Josh Richards got the best of Darrell Lanigan on Friday night, ending his friendly rival’s domination of World of Outlaws Late Model Series action at Bubba Raceway Park with a hard-fought victory in the 50-lap Bubba Army Late Model Winter Nationals A-Main.

Richards, 23, of Shinnston, W.Va., made WoO LMS history in the process, becoming the national tour’s alltime winningest driver. He won for the 38th time in his career, moving him out of tie for first with Billy Moyer of Batesville, Ark., on the checkered flag list that includes races run in the modern era (2004-present) and the original 1988-89 seasons contested under late WoO Sprint Car Series founder Ted Johnson.

BARBERVILLE, Fla. — Feb. 18, 2012 — Danny Lasoski captured the season opener for the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series on Saturday night during the UNOH DIRTcar Nationals Presented by Summit Racing Equipment at Volusia Speedway Park.

Lasoski, of Dover, Mo., was dominant all night after a scare during warm ups. He won his heat race, the dash and then started on the pole in the main event and quickly pulled away, weaving his way through traffic in the 30-lap race to take the checkered flag worth $10,000.
