Knoxville, IA — Donny Schatz has finished second at the Knoxville Nationals four times since 2000. This time around, the World of Outlaws Sprint Series championship points leader is confident he can move that one extra step up the podium.

Knoxville, IA — For the past 45 years, the best sprint car drivers in the world have descended upon Knoxville Raceway for the Knoxville Nationals. This year will be no different, as the 46th Annual Edition of the most prestigious event in sprint car racing history kicks off on Wednesday evening. The World of Outlaws Sprint Series drivers will be taking part in the action, led by current championship point leader Donny Schatz who has 10 wins on the season. Joining the point leader will be Joey Saldana who has seven wins, including his second Kings Royal. Saldana will do battle on the always fast half-mile where he won a race on June 23. He is second in points. Before making the trip to Knoxville, the Mean 15 took a couple of minutes to share their thoughts on the biggest race of the year.

Waverly, OH — Chad Kemenah was on top of the world on February 9. He had just turned in a dominating performance to pick up the season opening World of Outlaws win at Volusia Speedway Park. Fresh off the heels of winning four straight titles with the All Star Circuit of Champions, he was all geared up to take to the road with the World of Outlaws for the first time ever to follow the series full-time.

Las Vegas. NV — Donny Schatz had one goal at the beginning of the season, and that was to win the World of Outlaws Sprint Series championship. Over eight months and 69 race events later, he was crowned the series champion and received the $200,000 top-prize.

NV — WHAT •A very competitive and successful 2006 season wraps up for the World of Outlaws Sprint Series with the Awards Banquet which will be held at The Bally’s Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on Sunday October 29. Prior to the banquet on Sunday evening, new World of Outlaws Sprint Series Champion Donny Schatz will be a live guest on Wind Tunnel with Dave Despain on SPEED during the 9 p.m. Eastern hour. This will mark the second appearance for Schatz on the program. He was a guest on August 13th, the night after he took home the $140,000-to-win Knoxville Nationals.

Las Vegas. NV — Donny Schatz is entering his final race of the 2006 World of Outlaws (WoO) season tonight at the Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. By competing in this weekend’s event, he will wrap up the 2006 WoO championship. The Fargo, ND racer has had a career-best season winning 16 WoO "A" Feature events and the sport’s biggest race, the Super Clean Knoxville Nationals. During the festivities in Las Vegas this weekend, Schatz will receive television exposure for his outstanding results in 2006.

NV — Rod Henderson was a little bit worried Friday heading into the final round of the Snap-on® Pit Crew Challenge at The Dirt Track @ Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and he had good reason to be. After all, the Dan Oswalt Racing team has not had to change a single motor at the track all season, through 68 total race events.

NV — With two rounds in the books, it all comes down to one final showdown on Friday October 27 at 2 p.m. in the pit area at The Dirt Track @ Las Vegas Motor Speedway to crown the champion of the Snap-on® Pit Crew Challenge for the dedicated crew members of the World of Outlaws Sprint Series.
