Chico,CA — Warm temperatures and sunny skies greeted competitors for the opener of the 56th Annual Gold Cup Race of Champions on September 10 at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, California. Jason Meyers battled Sammy Swindell early in the preliminary feature, taking the lead on the ninth lap with Danny Lasoski making a late race charge and actually taking the lead, though that pass was negated by a red flag prior to the lap being completed. Burlington,WA — With a 100 percent chance of rain all day, Mother Nature smiled upon the World of Outlaws at Skagit Speedway in the finale of the annual two-day event at the track, with sunny skies and pleasant temperatures prevailing after an afternoon full of clouds. Jason Meyers would come out on top to take home the $20,000 top prize and earn his first career win at Skagit Speedway. Grand Forks, ND — Mother Nature tried her best to pick up the win on August 21 at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, North Dakota, but track officials along with the crew from SLS Promotions would not let her win.
