J.J. Hickle

Knoxville Breakthrough Brewing

Knoxville Raceway has long been one of J.J. Hickle's most familiar stops, but 2026 has marked a significant step forward in his World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series performances at the Sprint Car Capital of the World.
The Quilcene, Washington driver has become a fixture in Knoxville Raceway's weekly 410 Sprint Car ranks in recent years, regularly competing against one of the toughest local scenes in the country. While Hickle is still searching for his first career Knoxville Raceway victory, his speed throughout the 2026 season has been undeniable. He currently sits third in the track's 410 Sprint Car standings and owns additional finishes of 5th, 4th, and 2nd in non-World of Outlaws competition.
That speed has increasingly translated to success when the World of Outlaws come to town. Prior to 2026, Hickle's best World of Outlaws finish at Knoxville was 18th, and he had qualified for just four Series Features at the famed half-mile.
This season, however, Hickle has elevated his game against sprint car racing's best. In three World of Outlaws starts at Knoxville, he has recorded a pair of fifth-place finishes, coming on April 24 and May 23. The only blemish was a DNQ on April 25, but the two top fives already stand as the best World of Outlaws results of his Knoxville career.
As the Series returns to the Sprint Car Capital of the World, Hickle remains in pursuit of his first Knoxville Raceway victory. But with consistent speed in weekly competition and two top fives against the Outlaws already this season, he has shown he is closer than ever to a breakthrough at the track he now calls home.
