Bill Pink Carburetors

The son of famous engine builder Ed Pink, racing was automatically in the younger Bill Pink’s blood and has been a major part of his life. Laboring under his father at the “Ed Pink Racing Engine School” for fifteen years Pink calls it the, “toughest grading curve of his life.” Building Cosworth DFX engines for Indy cars by the time he was 21, Pink moved on to work with Toyota Racing Development. During his time with TRD he worked with Dan Gurney at All American Racing and Gurney’s Grand Touring Prototype road racing cars. Also at TRD, he worked with Cal Wells’s state-of-the-art desert off-road truck.

Having secured three championships in the IMSA Camel Lights Series and one Craftsman Truck Series Championship with Ron Hornaday driving, he has since spent time at Robert Yates Racing, Evernham Motorsports, and Richard Petty Motorsports. Serving as director of trackside development, Pink was involved in the NASCAR teams carburetor development, and also all the engine-related decisions at the racetrack.
