WoO LMS History: Entered two tour events in 2006, six in 2007 and six in 2008, but did not qualify for an A-Main in any of his attempts… Began 2009 season by qualifying for first-ever WoO LMS A-Main on Feb. 12 at Florida’s Volusia Speedway Park (finished 21st). Followed that with a 19th-place finish two nights later and shortly thereafter decided to follow complete tour schedule in pursuit of Rookie of the Year award… Fell short of rookie honor, finishing second to Russell King in points race and placing 11th in the overall WoO LMS points standings… Started 29 of 40 A-Mains in ’09 and recorded three top-10 finishes, including a seventh-place run on June 18 at Ohsweken (Ont.) Speedway that was the best finish by a rookie driver all season… Memorable ’09 moment came on June 21 at Cornwall (Ont.) Motor Speedway: after flipping wildly during a heat race and being transported to a hospital for tests, he was cleared medically and returned to track just in time to start A-Main using a provisional spot…

Other Racing History: First major accomplishment of his racing career came in 2002 when he captured the Kentucky Karting Association championship… Entered dirt Late Model ranks in 2004 and was named Rookie of the Year at Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown, Ky…. Followed the grueling UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals in 2005, qualifying for 11 features during the month-long tour… Was recognized as the Most Improved Dirt Late Model Driver in 2006 at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio… Ran the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals again in 2008, qualifying for 13 events. Finished 11th in the points standings with a top finish of eighth… Recorded first dirt Late Model feature win of his career on July 26, 2008, at Bluegrass Speedway. Added a second victory three weeks later at Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Ky… In 2008, made the starting field for both the World 100 at Eldora Speedway and the Dirt Track World Championship at K-C Raceway in Alma, Ohio… While away from the WoO LMS in 2009, captured a Fall Classic Weekend preliminary feature on Oct. 2 at Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Ky…

Interesting Facts: Is taking classes in Motorsports Management/Technology at Rowan Cabarrus Community College in Concord, N.C…. Bland’s father, Jeff, drove dirt Late Models from 1988-1994… Bland’s younger sister, Jefra, is also pursuing a career in motorsports. She has served as Ms. UMP DIRTcar and attends the University of Kentucky, majoring in broadcasting and minoring in public relations with an eye on a job in the sport after graduation. She also finished sixth in the Miss Teen USA 2009 pageant at the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas after winning the Miss Kentucky Teen USA pageant…
